Minutes Silence

Apologies- SA, HB, MD, PK, ZS

We welcomed Khaleem Bhatti to our meeting for the first time.

Minutes of Last Committee Meeting

New logo noted with thanks to Bruce

Item 1 : Membership

Since we are now spending money on publicity for the Friendship Walk it is important that we maintain an income by recruiting and maintaining members. This situation has become more urgent due to the recent high demand for our leaflets of which only about 200 are left from the original 2000.

It was decided that a letter would be sent out to all last years membership using the same format as before. This would include an item from the chair about the group, how it is funded and advance notice of the Friendship Walk. We commissioned (!) an article from Bruce of 300-320 words about the Pilgrimage event. (deadline for contributions 30th June). We will also include in the posting a membership renewal form or thank you letter for those who have already renewed their membership

Item 2 : Pilgrimage event- Thursday 29th July

Room is booked. David will do the invitations. Sarah will do press release.

Refreshments- David will bring along tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. More can be bought on the night from Tesco if needed.

Technical support- We will entrust this to Paul again with a request for a run through to check equipment if it is complicated before the actual event.

Item 3 : Friendship Walk

Poster-David and Kaleem will work together on this.

leaflets- We will amend the leaflet in time for the next print run to include our web address. This will also include an insert about Reading Interfaith Group and membership form.

Kaleem will design a leaflet/membership form for handing out on the day.

Use of internet for publicity- Zvi has provided us with a Facebook site. We are all asked to contribute by inviting our contacts to the walk.
