from The Chair:
Sarah Griffin (in the Chair) welcomed everyone present.
Minutes
of previous Meeting : Accepted as read.
Item
1 : Next Event Relationships and Religion.
Sarah confirmed speaker Hena Kahn
from the Slough Interfaith Partnership.
Venue : Friends Meeting House
Date : 23rd March
(alternative date 30th March was start of Passover)
Swami A was trying to organise
another speaker and had to confirm the date with him.
Swami A and Sarah to handle
publicity.
All committee members to check
places where posters of events could be placed.
Item
2 : Letter to Members
Details of event would be sent to
membership via a Spring Newsletter.
Sarah to contribute the inside
left page and give dates of other forth-coming events.
Rabbi Zvi to contribute inside
right hand page.
All articles to be sent to Swami
A by Saturday 13th March for distribution the following week.
Subscription form (A5 size) would
be slipped into newsletter.
Bruce to investigate organisation
for sending out membership letters at .34p per letter

3 : Pilgrimage. Bruce reported that Kate and
Corwin were happy to come and give presentation on ‘pilgrimage.
Possible dates were 4th
or 11th May.
Venue to be confirmed / Rabbi Zvi
to check availability of Synagogue Hall..

4 : Oxford Diocesan Committee for Interfaith Concerns.
Sarah reported that they were
interested in organizing an event, ‘Who is my neighbour?’ with us. Rabbi Zvi would liaise with them.

5 : National Women’s Day
Sarah suggested we might organize
an event for National Women’s Day next year.
Everyone agreed.
Item
6 : Insight Training.
Sarah had been asked to
investigate whether the Committee were interested in a 2-day course of
interfaith ‘Insight Training’ by David
Sparrow and Emel Soylu. Bruce Denney
agreed to investigate the possibilities.
Item
7 : Oxford Interfaith Event
David had attended this event and was impressed by the quality of the speakers and the level of discussion. He offered committee members CD of the proceedings.

Sarah reported on event organized
by the RCRE in response to the Muslim Group who were threatening to march on
Wooton Bassett.
