Minutes Silence

Minutes of Last Committee Meeting -

taken as read from the web site

Relationships and Religion

CK is doing thankyou letters to our speakers

feedback from this event generally very good

Feed back from Slough Event-relationships and religion

SG being on the receiving end as a speaker was a useful experience and some lessons learned.

Next event-pilgrimages

DM will make contact with BD and ZS to confirm date and venue. He will then be in a position to design and distribute posters.

 Logo

From looking up what makes a good logo, it was agreed this needed to be “describable, memorable, scaleable, effective without colour, timeless, and relevant” Decided that it would be best to make a prompt choice rather than postpone for wider consultation. Opted for bridge theme since interfaith is about building bridges between individuals and communities and  town's physical geography of having 7 rivers makes this relevant in particular to Reading. High bridge also seemed appropriate as we often meet close by. Landscape version prefered with design in black and white. Those present would like to use a line drawing to make the bridge more easily recognisable.

 Membership

It was agreed SG would write to last years members that have not as yet paid up enclosing an application form. DM will addresss and distribute.

(SG will also write thanking those members who have renewed if this has not yet been done)

Bishop of Reading

SG will write a Thankyou letter. We will ask faith forum if they have any plans for a farewell celebration and liase.

Job list for the Friendship Walk

Those present filled in what they felt able to do. SG will circulate to other committee members and liase with the Faith Forum.

Other Events-

25th April Brahama Kumaris event will be added to web site.

Any other business

HB confirmed date for event organised jointly with Oxford diocese as Thursday 25th November. SG appointed to follow this up by attending meetings on behalf of RIFG.

 Date for next meeting

Tuesday 8th June

WE will ask PK to ensure that a venue is booked.
